AV Linux has a large packages FTP folder which serves multiple purposes, first to archive many of the packages included in AV Linux in the case of a user uninstalling a package (ie one of the Commercial Demos) and later wishing to re-install it. Secondly as a place to put updated packages of programs throughout the annual cycle of AV Linux releases. The Kernels FTP folder has a variety of Kernel packages available that are built and intended for AV Linux but should work in most Debian-based Distributions.
**PLEASE NOTE**
The software packages contained in the AV Linux 'custom' FTP folder are intended and guaranteed for use with AV Linux ONLY. Although they are created in the Debian 'deb' format, they may not conform to the strictest Debian standards of official Debian repository packages.
