About Us:
‘Rated Blue’ is a “Jam Band” power-trio from Southwestern Ontario, Canada. The band’s somewhat unorthodox lineup features Glen MacArthur on guitar and vocals, his son Connor on drums and friend Peter Cox on bass. The band was formed when Connor urged his father to “get out there and play” some of the original songs he had been writing over the last 20 years. In 2015 they released their first album entitled ‘Three Walls Down’ which collected 7 original songs and released a second 7 song album ‘Turnabout’ in 2016. Their latest effort “JOY” was released in 2020. Stylistically the band keeps things rooted in the blues but are comfortable with roots, funk, soul and reggae genres, their sound is powerful, direct and surprisingly full for a trio with original songs that cover a broad range of topics without falling into well-worn cliches.
